I am an Associate Professor of Political Science at the University of Houston. I received my PhD from the University of Rochester, Department of Political Science, in 2008. I specialize in comparative politics and topics that cut across the fields of comparative politics and international relations. More specifically, my interests include comparative institutions, electoral systems, legislative politics, corruption, pork-barrel politics, economic reform, post-communist politics.
My articles have appeared in American Political Science Review, International Studies Quarterly, Electoral Studies, Legislative Studies Quarterly, European Journal of Political Research, Political Research Quarterly, Journal of Law and Courts, Social Science Quarterly, Europe-Asia Studies, and East European Politics.
